Trust Roger!

A new global study shows that (more than 50,000 people in 25 countries) Federer’s reputation as a respected, admired and trusted personality is second after South African president Nelson Mandela.
“The results of Reputation Institute’s study confirm that people respect leaders that participate in philanthropic activities outside of their own celebrity,” said Reputation Institute Chairman, Dr. Charles Fombrun. “The public’s top two on our list, Mandela and Federer, have emotional ties to South Africa, and donate both time and money to the betterment of the region and its people. They get praise for their efforts.”
The list first place took former South African President Nelson Mandela, third got Bill Gates. Also in the top ten of most respected and reverd persons by people of the world are: businessmen Warren Buffett (4th place) and Steve Jobs (6th place), TV host Oprah Winfrey (7 th place), musician Bono, Qeen Elizabeth II.
The second most respectale athlete is basketball player Derek Jeter (16th), English footballer David Becham is located on the 24th place.



The Swiss Legend and a winner of a record 16 Grand Slam titles, has been intensively involved in charitable activities on the ATP World Tour which includes the Rally For Relief to support Queensland flood victims earlier this season and funnelled it through his own foundation. The Roger Federer Foundation funds and aids education and sports projects in Ethiopia, South Africa, Malawi, Tanzania, Zimbabwe and Switzerland.
