Just a little while ago, 22 year old won her first ever Grand Slam singles title, 2012 Australian Open, becoming the first Belarusian player to win a Slam. Azarenka has also won two mixed doubles Grand Slam titles, winning the 2007 US Open with Max Mirnyi and the 2008 French Open with Bob Bryan.
In the final she beat Russian tennis player, Maria Sharapova, showing a very impressive game and absolutely powerful shots, no distraction and worries about playing the first ever GS singles final, and closed the match with a very impressive score: 6-3 6:0!Just to add, she also won a Sydney title just few weeks earlier, defeating the defending champion Li Na in three sets, 6–2, 1–6, 6–3.
