NYC always amazes me by its streets being very similar and different at the same time. Some days you walk down the streets or avenues and think that there's not much difference between this one and the next one. But the other day you see so very many different buildings, places, monuments and other things that look so different from each other and belong to different times, cultures or architecture. It is the city, just as the whole country, of different nations, cultures, beliefs and tastes. The city where anyone, from anywhere in the world, can fit in, feel at home, be accepted.
