Lately I've been doing research on cancer and thinking that there are so many famous people that I like and support, people that can be and are an example for many others around the world, and that they had and survived this vital illness, they stayed strong and gave hope for many more!
Just to name few: my inspiration in life, Kylie Minogue, Martina Navratilova, Lance Armstrong, Sheryl Crow, Olivia Newton John and Christina Applegate.
This is the time I'm going to share my experience taking part in Nike Live Strong campaigh in NYC sponsored by Macy's. It's the campaign for a Lance Armstrong Foundation for cancer research, that took place just on the Broadway street in NYC next to Macy's. Amazing opportunity to be a part of it for anyone and everyone, from adults to kids!
Lance Armstrong is an American former professional road racing cyclist who won the Tour de France a record seven consecutive times, after having survived testicular cancer. He is also the founder and chairman of the Lance Armstrong Foundation for cancer research and support. He last rode for (and helped found) UCI ProTeam Team RadioShack.
In October 1996 he was diagnosed as having testicular cancer, with a tumor that had metastasized to his brain and lungs. His cancer treatments included brain and testicular surgery and extensive chemotherapy, and his prognosis was originally poor. He went on to win the Tour de France each year from 1999 to 2005, and is the only person to win seven times.
Find my sign ;)
P.S. I still have that box of chalk! ;) *inspirational*
