Oscars 2012 - Winners Take It All!

So, the biggest winner of the night is The Artist cast, taking home main Oscars for Best Picture, Best Director and Best Actor. And later adding Best Original Score and Best Costume Design to the collection!

It is a 2011 French romantic comedy drama film directed by Michel Hazanavicius, starring Jean Dujardin and Bérénice Bejo. The story takes place in Hollywood between 1927 and 1932 and focuses on the relationship of an older silent film star and a rising young actress, as silent cinema falls out of fashion and is replaced by the talkies. Most of the film itself is silent, except for the non-diegetic soundtrack; it was produced in black-and-white. The film has received wide praise from critics and many accolades. The lead actor, Jean Dujardin, already won the Best Actor Award at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, where the film premiered.

The other 5-Oscar-grabber was "Hugo", loosing the top prize to The Artist, but claiming Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography and Best Visual Effects.

My favorite last night's Oscar winner is Meryl Streep - this lady so much deserved the award, taking Best Actress one for her portrayal as Margaret Thatcher in "The Iron Lady".

I did watch "Rango" and it wasn't my favorite animated film to tell the truth... except for just few very hilarious moments.
