Kylie Minogue Parts Ways With Her Manager Of 25 Years And Is NOT Retiring From Music

Mirror reports that Kylie Minogue parted ways with the manager, Terry Blamey, after 25 years of journey together.

The tabloid says that the decision was mutual and was made in September, and the partnership ended on the New Year's Eve.
And the original article with a misleading title:
Kylie Minogue quits singing: Ex Neighbours star eyes acting return after splitting with manager

"Kylie has decided to pull back slightly from the pressures of her career and devote more time to herself and her acting career," Blamey said. "This is not to say she will be retiring from music, just taking a bit of a break."

One thing I can assure you of is that Kylie Minogue is NOT quitting music any time this soon, as she mentioned it herself many times in recent interviews. The change in her team does not mean she decided to just quit the singing career after just finishing the celebration of one of the biggest years in her  music life - K25.

*Updates*

KYLIE confirms she is NOT quitting via Twitter:

A spokeswoman for Minogue said she is "definitely not retiring from music."

Terry Blamey Confirmation:

"As we reach this fork in the road after a wonderful 25 years working together, we do so amicably, wishing each other nothing but the very best for each other's continued success,"
for Fairfax Media in a text from London.

Here's the most accurate and professionally written article from Herald Sun ;)

Especially For You, Kylie Minogue And Jason Donovan REUNITED After 23 Years At Hit Factory Christmas Cracker!

"How long have you been waiting for it?"

Kylie Minogue and Jason Donovan have reunited for the first time in 23 years. The Australian duo performed their 1988 hit Especially For You LIVE for the first time to an audience at the Hit Factory Christmas Cracker, held at London's O2 arena.

"Twenty five years ago I had a dream that we would still be singing songs 25 years later. And one song in particular," said Pete Waterman. "Ladies and gentlemen, Jason and Kylie."
And the crowd went crazy!

It looked like Kylie and Jason wanted to recreate almost exactly what is in the original video for the single, originally released on 28 November 1988.
At first, singers kept distance, but then came the moment we all have been waiting for, as Jason scooped Kylie up and the couple "span repeatedly".

By the end of the song, the whole audience was singing the chorus instead of Kylie and Jason, who were left speechless and (by the looks on them) felt ecstatic to finally make this happen!

The duet ended a three hour concert which included performances by Bananarama, Rick Astley, Steps, Dead or Alive, and Sinitta.
The event celebrated the work of songwriting and production team Stock Aitken Waterman, which wrote the hits including Especially For You.

For the video special THANKS to "Heldom" from SayHey!

Kylie Minogue: "I'm really quite schizophrenic with fashion" (District MTV Exclusive Interview)

Kylie Minogue's career is one that spans a plethora of reincarnations, a host of style changes and a variety of sounds, all the while maintaining and developing her loyal fan-base. She has been a visionary at the helm of an ever moving ship, guiding it cleverly and consistently emerging with a new yet on-point, contemporary version of herself. The latest of these butterfly-esque reinventions sees her pared back and soulful for her latest album, 'The Abbey Road Sessions', which celebrates her 25 years as an iconic pop princess. Noting the integral use of style and fashion throughout her various evolutions, District MTV caught up with Kylie in the studio to talk about the album, her love of fashion and how important it has been to her over the years.

Exclusive Interview | Kylie Minogue
Get More: DISTRICTMTV.COM

How do you feel today, looking back at the evolution of your style throughout your career?

I think I've had a taste of almost every basic style there is and being a natural chameleon, that suits me really well. I love to have fun and my style depends on what's happening in fashion at the moment, what's happening in my life, what I have done and what I haven't done.

And then maybe Kylie the Show Girl, do you have a favourite?

It's hard for me to chose a favourite because they are all different facets of my personality and my 'show persona'. It leads me to think there's actually a lot more than that as well. Some days I'm a proper hippy, some days I look like I belong on a motorbike. I'm really quite schizophrenic with fashion. But I have to say I like the story of the gold hotpants.

What's story of the gold hotpants?

My girlfriend bought them for 50p at a market; I think it was North End Road-in Kensington London. They were living in my cupboard for a while; the first time they had a night out I was with my boyfriend of the time, photographer and director Stephane Sednaoui. We went to a Nerds, Tarts and Tourists party and guess which one I went as? After that they loitered in the back of the wardrobe until my stylist, William Baker, was having a snoop around for the Spinning Around video. He pulled out these tiny gleaming things and said "What about these?" I like their very humble beginnings and that they went on to be one of the most iconic things I've ever worn.

Is there an aspect of your style that isn't so well known, but that you personally really like?

The first one that comes to mind is the Balenciaga dress from the 'Slow' video, it was absolutely a work of art. It was such a tight dress, I was lucky I could move my arms around but still preserve modesty. People love that video and that dress, but it's one very much for people in the know. It doesn't have the same status as the John Galliano Show Girl, the vintage hotpants or the Mrs Jones jumpsuit from Cant Get You Outta My Head. I'm not even mentioning Charlene's overalls! They're in their own arena!

Has he (William Baker, Kylie's stylist, friend and "gay husband") ever pushed you or suggested something that you really didn't like?

All the time, but I think you need someone who's going to challenge you. I've felt way too exposed or trussed up in the past, half the outfits I can't breath in and some of them I have to be cut out of. I end up having a panic attack and want to get the damn thing off. The Julien Macdonald dress I wore for the MTV Awards, where I sang with Robbie Williams, was so racy. I had William and a choreographer, 2 gays, in the dressing room with me. They rugby tackled me out the door shouting, "you have to wear that!" They were right. It looked fantastic, but what it feels like to be in something, and how someone sees you wearing it, are two very different things. Sometimes though, I do rebel and just say no. I carry a weapon in my handbag for such occasions and I'm not afraid to use it; a single Christian Louboutin heel, thrown across the room.

What makes up Kylie's style today?

I suppose if I had to give you a simple answer, it's on and off duty. I guarantee you, the second I get home and I'm no longer on duty, it's very basic; flip flops, cut off jeans and a t-shirt. I'm Australian and come from a very simple life, I need that side of me to get some time in.

So what goes into an on duty look?

God-knows-how-many-inch Louboutins, Show Girl costumes, headpieces that are bigger than me and dresses that weigh more than me. I love the drama and the fantasy of wearing those clothes. Fashion like that can't be underestimated, because when you arrive on stage, even before everyone's heard your song, that outfit is sending a direct message.

The new album, 'The Abbey Road Sessions', is very pared back. Does that reflect a change in you musically and stylistically?

I think the elegance of this album is something that is timely, based on where I am in my career and in my life. I've been able to do it confidently, I don't think I could of delivered the songs that way 10 or 15 years ago and it be believable. Talking about fashion and how it relates to music, there's a certain look that works with this type of album and then when I do the next pop album, it's going to be another thing again. I must say though, I'm grateful that my audience, my fans, like to see me try different things and express myself in different ways, it's very liberating.

Goddess Magazine - Exclusive K25 Edition

Our friends at Kylie Unlimited have been working on a very special project to once again commemorate the amazing year in Kylie Minogue's career, K25 - The Goddess Magazine. It has been a year full of surprises, events, meetings, releases, competitions, rewards, shows, videos and other exciting things Kylie and Team presented to us through this twelve-month journey together, and this exclusive one-off K25 edition of the magazine is the way to take a look at some of the highlights.
The magazine features the EXCLUSIVE Simon Sheridan interview, the author of the "Complete Kylie" book, The Abbey Road Sessions review, and Moniguescope, it also will take you back to 2000 and the catchy Please Stay and some other things.

Jemma, Kylie Unlimited admin, shared the "behind the scenes" story with me:
"I started writing the magazine around the half way point of K25, so roughly - June. I initially came up with the idea after viewing some old Kylie fan club “fanzines”and thinking that it would be a really interesting way of celebrating some of the events that have made this year so special".

It took almost 6 month to finish the project and of course, it could not have been done without any kind of support: "Producing the magazine wasn't "easy" but it's been rewarding. Although I have to admit that if it weren't for some very supportive friends from the "Kylie world" such as Iryna (LiveLearnShineOn), Deyse (KylieBrasil) and Laeti (KylieWorld), I probably would have given up a few months back".

We would be happy to be able to create a limited physical run of this Magazine you but this can only happen if enough people are interested in purchasing one. These physical versions would be medium size (209.903 x 296.686 mm) and will cost around £5.9 each.

*UPDATE*

Because of the high interest in purchasing physical copies of the magazine, it is now AVAILABLE to ORDER HERE! :)

Thank you all for your constant support!
Hope you enjoyed the surprised!
Huge "thank you" to Kylie Minogue for being our inspiration throughout the years! x

Kylie Minogue Visits Fans At 1AM To Say "Goodnight", Buys Biscuits In The Morning And Signs Books At Harrods

Kylie Minogue was proven to be one of the most fan-friendly celebrities in the world quite few times to date.
She easily rolls down the car windows to chat with fans in the middle of the busy road in NYC, stops to take pictures and chat to them when being late for the plane, signs merchandise through the fences and sends autographs to fans' homes.

Hayley's GIF of the night visit

But this is just a brief list of things Kylie does! This time, Minx dropped by after the Am Manager Awards (where her Manager of 25 years, Terry Blamey, received The Peter Grant Award) to say "goodnight" to fans camping outside Harrods Bookstore (to get a chance to see her at Kylie Fashion book signing), offered warm things to keep them "warm" and then bought biscuits for the "naughty lovers" the next morning so they don't starve!

This story was sent to me from my good friend, who was one of the lucky-naughty-lovers and felt the warmth, charm, sweetness and care of the Goddess herself! ;)
so, Enjoy!

***

The trip was amazing!! It was so worth it! I feel blessed that I could go!
I arrived at Harrods around 21.45, I think. There already were about ten people queuing. Some already got their tickets from the security, to make sure they could go in the evening. Around 22.30 he came back with more tickets for people who just arrived. I was glad we did get a ticket (wristband), did take a lot of stress away because we knew we could get in now. The security asked if we had a place to go, and if we did, then we should go and stay warm and come back in the morning to buy the book and get the wristband.

A few of us decided to stay. We had fun in the evening. Suddenly a car drove by really slow. It was Kylie and her car! So people started to tweet her. A bit later Leanne showed up with Kylie's phone, filming us and asking us how we are doing. She then said she has a little suprise to keep us warm tru the night. And then the car came back, and Kylie came out. Calling us "naughty lovers" and answering a few questions, telling us to be safe and warm. That visit was so good. And even if the book signing got canceled for some reason, it would not even have bothered me, cause that visit was so unique and special!

The morning came really quick and more and more people showed up. The queue was already going around the corner around 6 am. A lot of people decided to come early to make sure they would meet Kylie.
While everyone was waiting a really lovely lady from TBM showed up with biscuits, saying that Kylie texted her asking to bring us the biscuits in the morning after she visited us. That made everything even better! It was all so perfect and so lovely. Kylie is a truly great person and has the best personality! Who else would come by and later deliver biscuits?!?! WOW! (I did hear she also asked to send us tea, but we did not get that. Don't know if that is a rumour or if something went wrong).
At 10 am they let people into Harrods in groups of 25 to buy the book and get the wristbands. They organized everything so good! No stress at all, everything was going smoothly.
People left when they got their wristbands. A lot of people were disappointed because they showed up too late since it was already very crowded really early.
The flier said come back at 5.30 for the signing.
Around 6 pm, the security was getting ready for the signing. They let us back in, in groups of 25. There were 10 people who got invited to get a book signed, and they went in first.
After that they let us in the room, the room was very well decorated, with lots of roses and "Kylie shoes" on top of them. Really lovely!! And special to see shoes she keeps on tweeting as #shoeoftheday!
By the time I got to Kylie I was so nervous! I am surprised I even said something to her! She was shining, and her eyes are... WOW. She has the most beautiful eyes I've ever seen! They keep surprising me - her eyes!

She said "Hello Ilse, how are you?" We had a little chat about the night, I bought her a present for Xmas and she thanked me for that and said that she will have a look at it later, she asked if I bought it in Harrods. She signed my book. And after that she signed yours (lucky me to have a friend and inspiration like these two! :).
I told her that you asked me to send her your love. She replied saying you run a really good website, keeping us all very up to date (Thank you, Kylie, it means the world coming from YOU!!).
After that my time was up and she wished me a good evening and said bye.

It was an amazing experience. Would not have wanted to miss this for anything in the world!!

***

Ilse (@ip_1984) also sent me the video and a picture of the visit. And I also wanna thank Hayley (@Hayley_KM) for sharing her video and pictures as well!
